Well, the internet has NOT worked in our favor since our last posting. Sorry to all. It has been an amazing journey and we are all safe and happy. It will take a while to tell you what has occurred since Monday (today is Wed. here) but in a nutshell we met Sophie's birth family on Monday - it seemed the entire village wanted to see her! I will (and I promise) detail this later when I actually know the post will go through. Today we are meeting just the family for the afternoon. Her birth grandmother, mother, 2 brothers and a relative will be with us. Sophie is doing really good with it all. Yesterday her older bbrother came to the beach and when she saw him she knew right away it was him - she ran up to him and wrapped her arms around him tightly - they looked at each other and silently they spoke in different languages.

We absolutely LOVE Hoi An - it is an amazing piece of paradise....I have so much to say and so many awesome photos, video and stories to tell and I promise they are forthcoming.

We are safe - the silence was just the lack of internet and we even tried to call to let you know we were okay but none of our calls would go through - so so frustrating!

We leave Friday morning for Danang....then onto HCMC....the next morning we leave to come home. We will miss Hoi An.
